Kerry Washington has given an inspiring speech calling for equality across society.
The Scandal famous person shared her passionate words as she obtained the leading edge honour on the GLAAD Media Awards ultimate evening (March 21).
The award is presented to a member of the leisure group who has made a significant change in advertising equal rights for the LGBT group.
Washington started her speech by reminding americans that not all and sundry shares the identical rights of citizenship.
She talked about: "There are individuals during this world who have the complete rights of citizenship in our communities, our nations and around the globe, after which there are these of us who to various degrees do not.
